Drape Care Instructions
Senior Drapes are made from high-quality velvet and are dry clean only. Creases or compression marks may occur during shipping. To restore the velvet, try one of the following methods:
Recommended Methods
Hang: Hang the drape vertically for at least 24 hours to allow creases to relax naturally
Steam from the back: With the drape hanging, hold a garment steamer away from the back of the fabric. Do not touch the steam to the drape, saturate the fabric, or apply steam to the plush front. Allow the drape to dry completely before use.
Optional Dryer Method
Because the velvet is dry clean only, use this method at your own discretion:
Lay the drape plush-side down on a flat surface
Lightly mist only the creased areas on the back with plain water. The fabric should be slightly damp, with no visible droplets
Wait 2-3 minutes. For hook-and-loop style drapes, fasten the closure straps together to prevent snagging
Tumble dry on low to medium heat for approximately 10 minutes
Remove promptly and hang, or lay flat plush-side up, until completely cool and dry
